Lisa's NW Championship Publicity Report

Well Race Fan's, unfortunately all good things must come to an end.

And this Season is no exception. It's been a memorable one, nothing short of well organised action packed bloody good racing. Just to re-cap, we've hosted alot of Perpetual meetings as well as a round of the Super's and more recently, the Modified State Title. However, this wouldn't have been possible if the numerous dedicated volunteers didn't come forward and take on jobs large and small.

So a very genuine Thank You to all that have contributed in any way. Also a huge Thank You to our season sponsors, who have put up their valuable money, equipment and products to assist in the growth of our club. We hope you got your monies worth and will be back in 2008.

To all of the drivers (whom I'm soooo envious of), Congratulations to everyone. The high quality of racing and excitement that you have provided to us has been Fantastic. But, I honestly do think that we have an unfair advantage in Carnarvon. Because every race meet we are provided with an unreal track, I'm sure you would all agree. Les & Ricky's expertise have been greatly appreciated, not to mention their countless hours and being at our beck & call. Cheers Boy's.

And when the MotorPlex ring's we'll tell em "Your NOT For Sale!" Away from the track, we've had many fund raisers in the way of great Raffles, a Sausage Sizzle, a very busy Car Wash and a Theme Night to mention a few. And I'm sure that we'll be out there on our off season, trying to promote Carnarvon Speedway further while raising funds for a much needed Grader. Unfortunately our Grader gave up the ghost this year, and laid her to rest.

We also fare welled our friend 'Rocket' Rod Hudson. RIP. While another member was welcomed into the club in Ron's grandson, Chayse James Jackson, born to Nat & Trav.

Also born this season, my very own 'baby', our website. It's still being updated, but check it out at www.carnarvonspeedway.com for all you need to know about our great club. So as you can see, we've been very busy. Although the racing will be over on Sunday night, please join us in celebrating our 2007 calender here at our Wind-Up on Saturday the 16th of June. Non members are very welcome.

So, in the words of the 'Looney Tunes', "That's all Folks!!"
