Pidala Wins Again!!

Daniel Pidala has won the Street Stock Ashes Perpetual Trophy sponsored by Beaurepaires, again.
Consistent driving saw the current WA#2 win his three heats to start from pole in the 25 lap feature.
Although some very exciting and skillful driving from Kane Munro gave Pidala a rev up.
In one of their races, less than 400th of a second separated them at the finish line of the 10 lap heat.
Munro who did win one of his other heats, started from outside on the front line in the trophy race. He jumped out to lead the field until he blew a tyre in the seventh lap and retiring from any further part.
The “Stallion”, Pidala bolted on to win with Clinton John putting in a top effort for the Ford fans finishing a creditable second.
Wade Mason traveled back from Karratha to finish third and the only straight car left out of three of the Chookshed Rebuild Racing team.
Sister Tara was out early in the night as she broke a steering arm after a multiple pile up and other female driver Paula Lyall had a rough night also after everyone tried to win the race on the first corner.
New Dad, Lance Root drove very well all night, while his new son slept like a baby trackside. But it wasn’t enough to spher Root on as he had to retire only one lap into the feature.
Damon Lyall, in his final season as a Junior, had four wins from four starts and was going fast enough to lift the front left tyre off the ground on a few occassions as he cornered. Damon also managed two wheels off the ground at one stage.
The lap times that are provided by a transponder system, record that the fastest of the Junior times are often matching the Street Stock and Modified classes.
The Junior division welcomed another new comer to the track, Kaylah Gaitskell who improved with every lap.
The Lyall brothers getting in some valuable track time as they prepare to compete in the WASCF Junior State Title in April. But not before traveling to Adelaide SA to support their father, local ledgend, Peter Lyall who will be competing in the National Super Sedan Title.
Peter and fellow Super competitor, Blake Jackson had both of their Mazda RX8’s flying around the track at the weekend and will be looking forward to Blake’s brother Travis making a return to the field when he gets the Chev mobile.
In the Modifieds, it saw the Mogg’s finish 1,2 and 3 in the feature, with the younger Mogg, Dylan taking out the win from older brother Zane and father Wayne.
