Carnarvon Speedway Wind Up Results

A black and white theme decorated the club house for the end of Season Wind Up and Trophy Presentation held on Saturday night.

The night kicked off with a welcoming speech and just recapping on what a huge year we've had.

We had the official opening of our new Ablutions block complete with showers, hosted a round of the visiting Super Sedans, the WASCF Modified State Title, annual North West Championships and not for getting our Perpetual Trophy nights as well as regular points meeting.

This season we have had record breaking crowd attendance, which is not surprising as the quality of the racing and facilities was fantastic.

And they were just things that have happened on the track. Earlier in the year we hosted a State Body Meeting for WASCF as well as a very successful Car Wash, an In the Bedroom theme night at the local, numerous raffles and the launch of our very own web site www.carnarvonspeedway.com

And there certainly is a lot of jobs still to be done over the off season to keep on improving our great club to get ready for next season and especially when we host the WASCF Junior State Title on the ANZAC day weekend.

We took the opportunity to thank our Major sponsors for the season in Wormall Carnarvon, Carnarvon IGA, Beaurepaires Carnarvon and The Tropicana Tavern. And thanked all of our other sponsors that contributed to our successful season.

Not forgetting all of our dedicated volunteers, who were personally thanked and presented with an appreciation certificate at the wind up.

Other trophies were presented to the following for the highest points winners and outstanding efforts in 2007;

Sprintcar Division; 1st, Jim Andreoli, 2nd Stephen Lyall, 3rd Andrew Pedlar.

Modified Division; 1st, Shane Brittain, 2nd Travis Jackson, 3rd Kim Jolly.

Street Stock Division; 1st Daniel Pidala, 2nd Glenn Harper, 3rd Paula Lyall.

Don't forget that the AGM will be held on Wednesday 18th July. Anyone that is even slightly interested in the future of Carnarvon Speedway is welcome and should attend.

We look forward to catching you on Clay at Carnarvon Speedway in 2008.
