Carnarvon Speedway wraps up for the season…..
Carnarvon Speedway wrapped up its season on Saturday 21st June, inviting the community to join in on their “fun night”. With out a doubt the highlight of the night was the burnout competition which saw six entrants take to the burnout pad. Judges had a tough time in picking a winner as all five were strong contenders. Darren Beard took his maroon Chevy and slung it around the pad with ease and placed second. A great performance by Kane Morten saw him take out first place. The boys sure did put on a great show.
The night had a heap of highlights with the kids car rides at interval being very popular. There was one on one challenges, mechanics race and sponsors drives which was an absolute laugh to watch. The last race of the meet was Le Mans start for last stocky race which saw guys tripping over each to tag their driver’s car first. It certainly was an entertaining night to say the least.
