A beautiful Gascoyne evening saw great racing from all divisions on Saturday night at Carnarvon Speedway.
Everyone is talking about the fantastic racing our Juniors are putting on for us.
All three drivers in Trent Lyall, Allan Harper and Damon Lyall are keen to get some bragging rights and setting the bench mark for the Smarter than Smoking Junior Perpetual on the 18th.
This event generally attracts visiting drivers to contest the local lads.
Last year saw Damon Lyall win the trophy for the third consecutive season. Can he do it again?
Little brother Trent and Alan Harper will certainly be putting pedal to the metal to beat him to the finish line first.
Modifieds saw the Mogg brothers and Kim Jolly have at least one a piece for the night. Good Luck to Kim Jolly who is travelling to Albany this Easter weekend to take part in the WASCF Modified State Title.
Also racing down there this weekend to take part in a round of their Super Sedan Summer Series is the Jackson brothers, Travis and Blake.
#41 Blake having found a few more rev's in his RX8 is handling the corners far better last meet. It's been a great effort by Blake who has been travelling from Karratha every meeting to race.
Burkie Holla had a clean sweep for the night, bagging four from four. Stephen Lyall doing a few 360's and wheel stands, pleasing the crowd on the back straight and scaring his family at the same time.
These boy's have certainly been flying around our 440 metre track.
Unfortunately the Sprintcar division was again without Exmouth driver Andrew Pedlar and local Onei Andreoli, who's engine parts are held in customs - apparently!!
Street Stocks were again spread into two heats with Kane Munro back to good form having two wins and a second in his heats to start on outside pole in the 15 lap feature, to finish second.
Also having two wins and a second in his heats and starting from pole was Daniel Pidala and finished the final first.
Leo Brooks drove hard all night until he was hit from behind, causing his rear end to collapse.
Glenn Harper also put his car on the trailer early after suffering front end damage after a pile up.
Welcome back to racing is Kyne Hill, while Tom Parry is still having some problems with his XF, which will hopefully be ironed out by next meet.
Wade Mason had a foot in the points ladder, climbing every position from fourth to first.
Romeo Andreoli who has been travelling up every fortnight from Perth to race has been showin great racing too.
Tara Mason and Paula Lyall have both had better nights and will certainly be back to show that they can really mix it with the boys.
The Carnarvon Speedway Club wishes everyone a Happy and Safe Easter.
